#CMALive is an AGM and conference for the Community Media Association. DigiEnable was asked to speak at the event, under the workshop title "Hyperlocal is dead. Social/Media/Mobile is in!"DigiEnable's previous work, has included working with groups and individuals to tell their stories using media and social media, including running the SpeakUp Preston project. Here's one of the videos that was made from the community reporters findings, to introduce an Open Space day Darren ran around what the community wanted in the area. The second video of the presentation, introduced a similar community reporter style initiative, based around #media2012 using social and online media to create awareness of the cultural events in the North West for the Paralympics and Olympic games. Liz ran workshops for these reporters in writing for web, and how to get the best out of blogging. The presentation Liz used on the day can be downloaded from this page.
