DigiEnable is working alongside Manchester based production company Sparklab Productions, to present a unique audio experience as part of Preston Guild 2012.
On Saturday 8th September at 8pm we will take people on an audio trail through the streets of Preston and past many of its most recognisable landmarks. The only difference is that they will be immersed in another world, a world in which nothing is quite what it seems.
Ballad of the Burning Boy is a climate change thriller about a boy swept up by the fiery-red pre-ArkWrights, irresistible to teenagers who care about what’s happening to their planet. We will follow the story of Miriam as she searches the streets of Preston for her missing son. As we walk through Preston we will encounter a number of strange activities and unusual sights, but what does it all mean? The only way to find out is to follow the journey to its dramatic conclusion.
If you would like to take part in the trail then free tickets are available here or follow the official blog of the event at www.balladburningboy.com
As well as taking part in the event, we also need some volunteers to help make this journey extra special for those involved. Roles range from stewarding the group to our destination, or even taking on a role from within the play. Whatever you decide to do, events like this only take place once in a Preston Guild.
For more information on volunteering email us on darren@digienable.co.uk or find us on twitter @DigiEnable , come and join us, it’s going to be an experience you will never forget.
